Day Robinson International, a major conference and training provider to the international banking sector in the United Kingdom, announces the final programme for Singapore Commodities & Trade Week, taking place at the Grand Hyatt hotel and other selected venues in Singapore between 26th and 29th June, 2007.
Singapore Commodities and Trade Week is hosting around 150 senior leaders from the international trade finance, commodities and banking industry. The events taking place during Singapore Commodities and Trade Week include a major two-day conference and selected half-day workshops, covering topics of crucial interest to bankers and service providers involved in the financing of goods for import and export across the world.
Dan Day-Robinson, Managing Director of Day Robinson International, says, "Singapore Commodities and Trade Week is important because it brings together world-class companies and banks who are crucial in providing finance to the world's most important importers and exporters of commodities and trade goods. Today, trade finance has become a really important tool for world trade, providing opportunities to large and small players involved in the shipping and trading of bulk goods, consumer goods and other crucial trade flows".
As China and Asian trade comes to the fore in world trade, affecting just about everyone's lives across the planet, Singapore Commodities and Trade Week assesses the financing needs of trade firms shipping commodities and trade goods in and out of the Asian region. A key focus of the event is structured trade finance, which allows trade firms to finance goods based on the value of the goods themselves and which allows traders to use those same goods as security or collateral for loans.
Singapore Commodities and Trade Week includes participation from major sponsors, including Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), top-ten law firm Norton Rose and the Berne Union. With over 40 top speakers from world-class institutions, the meetings promise to add interest and excitement in an already dynamic banking sector. Day Robinson International put together the planning for all of the meetings in late in 2006, and the meetings themselves represent the culmination of many months of work. All of the meetings within Singapore Commodities and Trade Week involve the active participation of a large number of speakers and other stakeholders in the event.
